What an energizing start to 2026!

What an energizing start to 2026!  January 20 we gathered with our fellow Executive Directors and the City of Boston Mayor’s Office of Economic Opportunity and Inclusion team for our first meeting of the year at their beautiful new — but historic — home at 26 Court Street.

Did you know this site sits on what’s believed to be the oldest plot of land continuously owned by the City of Boston? The Boston City Hall Annex, a grand Neoclassical Revival building completed in 1912 and designed by architect Edward T.P. Graham, stands on the spot where Queen Street Prison once stood — a place even referenced in The Scarlet Letter. Later it became a courthouse before taking on its current role.

It was wonderful to come together, lay the groundwork, and look ahead to all that’s in store for our city this year. Boston will be buzzing with visitors for World Cup Soccer, Tall Ships, and Mass 250 — and Main Streets across the city are already planning exciting events and programs to welcome them!

After the meeting, Kelly McGrath enjoyed lunch with Courtney, ED at Mission Hill Main Streets — great food and great company!
