Congratulations to the City of Boston, Boston’s veterans, and Brighton Marine on this incredible partnership and investment in those who have served our nation.
Our community is truly fortunate to have Brighton Marine as part of the fabric of Boston. For decades, Brighton Marine has been a leader in supporting veterans, service members, military families, and the broader community through healthcare, housing, behavioral health services, case management, workforce support, and other critical wraparound services. Their campus in Brighton serves as a vital hub where veterans can access resources, find stability, and build the connections they need to thrive.
Brighton Marine’s roots stretch back to the historic U.S. Marine Hospital system, with a presence in Brighton dating to 1940. In the early 1980s, local veterans came together to preserve the campus and ensure that essential services would continue for future generations. Today, Brighton Marine remains steadfast in its mission of providing healthcare, housing, and hope to veterans and their families.
Beyond the vital services they provide, Brighton Marine is also an important economic engine, creating jobs in healthcare, housing, administration, social services, and veteran support programs while partnering with numerous organizations that serve our region. Their work strengthens not only individual lives but our entire community.
This partnership demonstrates what is possible when government, nonprofit organizations, and community leaders come together with a shared commitment to honoring and supporting our veterans. Thank you to Mayor Wu, the City of Boston, and the entire Brighton Marine team for leading with action, compassion, and purpose.
Our veterans deserve nothing less.
