Open Streets!
June 1 @ 10:30 am - 3:00 pm

The Mayor’s Office of Economic Opportunity and Inclusion announces the return of Open Streets Boston this summer and fall, bringing car-free, community-focused events back to Allston-Brighton, Jamaica Plain, and Mattapan, with Roslindale joining for the first time. These events transform neighborhood streets into vibrant public spaces where local businesses can expand outdoors while residents enjoy music, games, bicycling, and community activities. Open Streets Boston builds on Mayor Wu’s vision of creating safer, more welcoming, and family-friendly streets across the city.
In Brighton, Open Streets will take place on Sunday, October 4, along Brighton Avenue and Harvard Avenue, from Cambridge Street to Commonwealth Avenue. The event will run from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with streets closing at 9:00 a.m. to prepare for the festivities, creating a lively, walkable corridor for residents and visitors to enjoy.
