DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]$3\,000 Program/Project Grant \n(Available twice per year—Fall & Spring) \nSpring 2026 Cycle\nApplication Availability: Friday\, April 10 2026\nApplication Deadline: Wednesday\, May 13\, 2026 \nInformation Session \nThere will be a virtual information session on Thursday\, April 16\, 2026 at 12:00 noon for new and/or returning organizations to learn and ask questions about the community fund grant process. \nTo register for this info session\, click the link to fill out the registration form.\nFor questions please email bcneighborhoodcenter@gmail.com. \n_______________________________ \nThe mission of the Allston/Brighton–Boston College Community Fund is to support programs and services that are available to the people of Allston and Brighton.  The Fund Committee seeks applications from organizations\, associations\, programs\, or initiatives based in Allston and Brighton. The Committee gives special consideration to the benefit of the potential award on the youth\, senior citizens\, and the needy in the Allston and Brighton neighborhoods. Beautification projects are also encouraged. \nThe Fund was established by the late Mayor of Boston\, Thomas M. Menino and former Boston College President\, Rev. J. Donald Monan. The President of the College\, Reverend William P. Leahy and the Honorable Michelle Wu\, Mayor of Boston continue to support this cooperative effort between Boston College and representatives of Allston and Brighton. \nThe purpose of the awards is to supplement existing budgets of established organizations and agencies in order to promote a program or service for which financial support is not otherwise available. The Fund Committee also considers and makes awards to independent groups who present a worthy proposal or sponsor a worthwhile event. \nThe Fund aims to create good will and harmony among the people of Allston and Brighton\, and seeks to improve the physical appearance of the neighborhood. It is expected that both goals will enhance the quality of life of the neighborhood. A particular impact of the Fund and its activities is the fostering of an improved and beneficial relationship between the people of Allston\, Brighton and Boston College. \nInterested groups may apply for funding either during the fall or spring cycle. \nPlease Note:  Only one grant per group or agency will be awarded per year.  \nFall 2025 Grant Recipients\nFor the Fall 2025 cycle of the Allston Brighton/Boston College Communty Fund a total of $38\,521 was distributed to the following 13 organizations: \n\nAction for Boston Community Development\, Inc. (ABCD): Allston Brighton Food Pantry Assistance\nAllston Brighton Community Developmen Corporation (ABCDC): All Bright Community Center Emergency Food Pantry\nAllston Brighton Youth Hockey: Learn to Skate Program\nAllston Village Main Streets: Allston Village Holiday Lights\nBaldwin Early Learning Pilot Academy: Two-Part School Enrichment\nBoston Police Department: Shop with a Cop\nBrighton Allston Historical Society: Move & Storage Project\nBrighton Main Streets: Brighton Center Holiday Lights\nFamily Nurturing Center of Massachusetts: Allston Brighton Diaper Pantry\nFaneuil Tenants Organization: The Parents’ Wellness Initiative\nHoly Resurrection Orthodox Church\, Open Door Soup Kitchen and St. Bridget’s Grocery Bag Program: Food & Supply Costs for Open Door Weekly Meal\nJackson Mann Community School & Council\, Inc.: Digital Photography\nOak Square YMCA: Livestrong at the YMCA\n\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
