DESCRIPTION:Join us for the annual Community Egg Hunt\, one of Brighton’s longest traditions in family events. \nEvery year\, hundreds of children ages 2-10 gather in Brighton to welcome in spring and gather eggs filled with happy treats and surprises. This tradition was started in 1983\, 40 years ago\, by Gerry McCarthy and family\, through St. Elizabeth’s Hospital until it was taken over by Brighton Main Streets almost 20 years ago. \nThis FREE Egg Hunt is open to the public with fun activities planned for kids of all ages. Stay tuned for more details. We also have opportunities for single-day event support\, such as setting up tents and staffing registration tables. \nVolunteer opportunities for 2023 include: \n\nPreparing for the National Main Streets Conference (coming to Boston in March!)\nSupporting a new monthly “shop small” challenge\nHelping with spring plantings and clean-up projects\nPlanning our annual signature event…and much more!

The outdoor event includes a visit with Santa\, the tree lighting\, and hot cocoa and holiday cookies for all. \nFestivities start outdoors at 6:00\, Mayor Wu and the Trolley arrive 6:45pm. Stay warm as you wait. \nJoin the family fun indoors from 4:45-6:15pm at the Oak Square YMCA gymnasium.
